Maui Sunsets – A Baker’s Dozen

by Peter Liu on October 12, 2009

Around the end of August, I started looking for photos for my yearly wall calendar, this year’s theme being Maui Sunsets. I got the choices down to 20, and decided it might be fun to post them on my Facebook Page and ask people to vote for their favorite 13 (12 for the calendar and one for the cover page).

I knew what my choices were, but I thought it was worth testing them against other opinions. The results were surprising, in that some of the photos I thought were weaker ended up getting a lot of votes, and I didn’t have a single photo that didn’t get any votes at all. So, in addition to the wall calendar, I decided to use all 20 photos in one-page, 12-month prints.

Again, mahalo nui loa (big thank you) to everyone who helped make this the best wall calendar ever!

Here are the winning 13—the cover, then January to December. Which is your favorite?
