If the size is 400px x 300px and you click on the center of the image, it takes you to flickr. When the image size is above those dimensions, and you click on the center of the image, you do not get linked to flickr.

No need to respond back.

Thank you again!

I don't understand the question? Clicking on the slideshow shouldn't cause it to open in a Flickr window. It should play right there in Facebook.

Mine works great! Best instructions out there.

One question, how do you set this up so that when someone clicks on the screen, the slideshow does not appear in flickr. I'd like the viewing to be static within my Fan Page.

Looks like a popular thing to do, just added a slideshow to one of my pages, too.

Mine is pulling from a group pool on Flickr, so I wanted to make sure that the user attribution in the slideshow player was visible. Spent about 3 minutes trying to see where the query string parameters were for the flickr url before I finally discovered it's the width of the slideshow that will control whether there's room in the player to show the additional options like display info.

After a little testing, it looks like it requires about 700px, which is just about as much space as FB currently gives you on a tab for a profile page.

Grab the FBML code and plug in the "page_show_url" from Flickr. Then make sure "imgsrc" points to something that actually exists, or you won't see anything.

Hope this helps!

OK - Peter - I admit I've been rather silly over this and have finally managed to do it;

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Benjamin-Arthur-Photography/111883752161235?v=app_4949752878

and THESE are the results ... the ONLY thing I still haven't quite figured out to fix is to your POINT 9 above... when you say "I simply created an image in Photoshop with the same dimensions as my slideshow and uploaded it." do you mean you uploaded it direct to facebook or uploaded it to flickr?

thanks for your ongoing assistance !

regards,

Benjamin

Thanks Peter - I finally found that. Was being a klutz and tried to locate "edit page" under my personal profile rather than the fan page. Still, the question about what's code that I need to copy is out there; do I copy HTML, then convert to FBML or both? I see that “page_show_url” is in HTML but not FBML. Any help much appreciated! Benjamin

Hi Benjamin, no worries! "Edit Page" is right below the avatar in your page. When you get in there, you'll find FBML as one of the apps.

Hi peter - Thanks for this. I found you online but thought it might be too complicated to achieve what you've done so then asked the question of the LOVE UK homepage on facebook how they did their slideshow and they directed me back to you so its obvious you are helping a lot of folks out with this! Unfortunately I don't really know what I'm doing :( I have tried to follow your instructions but I can't get further than the early steps. Where is "EDIT PAGE" on facebook these days? With the changes introduced a couple of months ago it no longer seems to exist! I found static FBML and added the tab to my fan page but there are literally no options for editing on there that I can find. When I click on the edit icon it gives me "tab options" or "delete tab" and there are in fact no "tab options" coming up as options in a menu list. I also don't know whether I am supposed to be copying and pasting the HTML from Flickr or the FBML that you have posted or both? Sorry to be so confused. I am sure this can work but I'd love your help if you could guide me .... ?
